Benny the Jet Rodriguez - “Run.” (2013)

This was a pretty significant video for me because it was one of the first things I filmed after I finished Longview. I booked this wonderful band, Benny the Jet Rodriguez, a show in Savannah after Fest that year. We ended up having a great time and filmed this guy late at night in downtown Savannah. This was my first music video in a really long time. I’d always wanted to do music videos of DIY bands but never thought anyone would let me, or that they wouldn’t be good enough. Longview finally gave me enough confidence to approach bands asking if they wanted to film one.

You can tell I took a very elementary approach to this video. I didn’t want to over complicate it because this was my first video in so long. I definitely consider it the first building block for the next several music videos I would make.

Even though they broke up a few months ago, this video will always have a special place in my heart.
